For the past 25 years, I have given my heart and soul to ministering in churches, on the streets, in jails and prisons; discipling homeless men, tending to orphans, training young ministers and leading thousands of people to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I have ministered throughout the United States of America in Nigeria, the Congo, South Africa, Germany and Mexico.
For the past 10 years, I have served in academic ministry at Sacred Heart University, New York Theological Seminary (at the Sing Sing Prison Campus), and at Regent University. My ministry is unique in that it bridges the church, the community and the academy. Given the social, religious and educational climate of our world today, I believe like never before that ministry that engages the church and society is crucial and necessary.
The future of our world hangs in the balance. The media is filled with social and religious critics who offer commentary from a secular perspective. Their voices are leading much of the discussions that shape the contemporary worldview because those voices are present in every media outlet, including social media.
Imagine what it would look like for a prophetic voice of moral consciousness to engage conversations about social, religious, and educational matters. Studies from the American Bible Society as well as Pew Research reveal that while millennials are leaving the churches in large numbers, they are more interested in spirituality and are wildly curious about religious matters. They have questions about religion, the intersection of faith and society, spirituality and everyday life, the after-life, the relationship with the ultimate being and material reality, the sacred care for nature, questions about purpose and meaning in life, the integration of faith and everyday life, and more.
As a preacher, I love to preach sermons. Yet, I believe that given the important questions that this generation raises about society and God-related matters, there is a fierce urgency of now. We must care about the world we will leave behind us, the future of the church, and the future of our Faith as well as the future of families and the integration of Christian thought in community affairs, business, education, and morality.
We need more theological and prophetic voices to engage the questions that plague this generation. It is where God meets the streets with love, compassion, grace, and healing. People have tough questions. While I do not believe that I have all the answers, I do believe that God does. And, God has called me to speak into the conversations that matter in today’s generation. They have questions; God has the answers. Jesus is the answer! They won’t know unless we share the good news in ways that they will hear and listen. They are leaving the churches; but they are online, on mobile devices, and watching television!
And they are on my heart!
This is why I am writing you. I need your help in reaching this generation. I cannot do it alone. The Lord has laid on my heart a gigantic vision to launch a television ministry. This television show will engage conversations about righteousness and justice, the fatherless crisis of our nation, economic empowerment, love of neighbor, hope in Christ, and more. I want to engage the questions from the streets with a Christ-centered, Bible-based message and testimonies that Jesus is the answer that this generation seeks.
I would like to ask you to pray about partnering with me on the ground level of launching this vision. Fall 2017, we will launch my television broadcast on traditional television and online: TBN Salsa and Truli.com. Through these venues, we will reach more than 70 million viewers worldwide! Shortly after we launch on TBN Salsa and Truli.com, we will also launch on other networks. Our expanded plan is to reach 200 million viewers worldwide within 18 months after launching the show.
If you would stand boldly with me at this ground level to launch the show, you will be part of the CORE 60 Partners to reap a harvest of souls in this generation. We will help ordinary people rise to the call of God for their lives through biblical principles that will help them wrestle with everyday questions. I not only teach these principles; I believe them and apply them to my own life.
